About UsEmmanuel Baptist Church is a small and friendly church that welcomes you to become a part of this caring fellowship of believers. We are a congregation which reflects the cultural diversity of individuals and families who reside in the Washington metro area. We seek to reflect the love of Jesus Chirst as we set goals for ministry and provide resources to carry these ministries out as God leads. Our pastor, Rev. Bruce Langwiser, is a graduate of the John Leland Center for Theological Studies. He became part of the Emmanuel Baptist Church family in November, 2005, after serving our Lord in other local ministries. Emmanuel Baptist Church is a self governing body of believers and chooses to affiliate with several local, state and national partners, including the NorthStar Church Network (a Northern Virginia Association of Baptist congregations), the Baptist General Association of Virginia and The Southern Baptist Convention. Emmanuel actively supports a number of mission activities through local organizations such as the United Community Ministries and national and international missions through the Virginia Baptist Mission Board, North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board.
